Training with a True Warrior!

The past weekend, I had the great opportunity to train with Guro Dan Inosanto.  Guro Inosanto was in Charlotte, NC, teaching a seminar at the Hard Target Martial Arts Academy.  Hard Target is a wonderful facility and it is run by two great people, Rob and Melissa Hunter.  If you are ever in Charlotte, stop by there and train with them, you will not be disappointed.  For more information on their programs and academy, please visit their website is at www.hardtargetmartialarts.com.

The weekend was awesome.  Guro Inosanto was in rare form and all participants had the opportunity to work Panatukan (Filipino Boxing), Dumong (Grappling), JKD, Single and Double Stick techniques and Single and Double Knife techniques.

The pace was fast and furious and most had trouble keeping up but everyone had a lot of fun.  I always enjoy the history lessons.  Guro Inosanto includes the history of Kali, however at this seminar, everyone was presented with the history of boxing and the influence that the Filipino culture had on it.

I have been studying the Filipino martial arts for around 8 years, and have attended many seminars.  I would rank this as the top seminar that I have ever attended with Guro Inosanto.  It amazes me that the older he gets the better he gets.  By the way, he is now 71 years young.

If you have an interest in the Filipino Martial Arts, then I highly recommend that you attend a seminar with this great Master and truly humble Warrior.  Yes, your head will be spinning within the first hour and will not stop until the seminar is done, but I promise you the experience will be well worth the price of admission.
